How to Measure an Existing Ring
Use this method if you already own a ring that fits well.
- Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
- Place the ring on a flat surface.
- Measure the inside diameter of the ring (straight across the center).
- Measure in millimeters (mm).
- Match your measurement with the size in the chart below.
Important: Measure only the inside of the ring, not the outer edges.

How to Measure Your Finger
Use this method if you don’t already own a ring that fits.
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger (where the ring will sit).
- Make sure it’s tight but comfortable; not too loose.
- Mark the point where the paper or string overlaps.
- Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters (mm).
- Use the chart below to find your ring size.
Tip: Measure your finger at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold.
