How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

The right size is the difference between a ring you wear every day and one that stays in the box. Here are two simple ways to measure at home, with no special tools.

Method 1: Paper strip or string

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper (or use a piece of non-stretchy string).
  2. Wrap it around the base of the finger you'll wear the ring on. It should be snug but not tight.
  3. Mark the point where the paper overlaps.
  4. Lay it flat and measure from the end to the mark in millimetres. That's your finger's circumference.
  5. Compare it with the ZORYS size chart.

Method 2: Use a ring that already fits

  1. Take a ring that fits the same finger well.
  2. Measure the inside diameter, edge to edge across the middle, in millimetres.
  3. Match that number on the ZORYS size chart.

Tips for an accurate size

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are slightly larger when warm and smaller when cold.
  • Measure two or three times and use the most consistent result.
  • Check the knuckle. The ring has to slide over it, so if your knuckle is wide, size for the knuckle.
  • Wide bands fit tighter than thin ones. For chunky statement rings, a snug measurement can feel tight.
  • Measure the right finger. Your fingers, and each hand, can be different sizes.
